Privacy Policy

Last reviewed on April 28, 2026

Overview

This policy explains how Administrative Assistant Resources ("we," "our," or "us") handles personal information when you visit administrativeassistant.net (the "Site"). It covers what we collect, why we collect it, how cookies and advertising work on the Site, and the rights you have over your data.

If anything here is unclear, email privacy@administrativeassistant.net and we will get back to you.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include — typically your email address, your name if you sign your message, and the contents of the message itself. We use that information only to respond and to improve the Site based on the feedback we receive.

Information collected automatically

When you visit any page on the Site, our hosting infrastructure and analytics tools may receive standard technical information, including:

  • Your IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Your browser type, language, and operating system
  • The page you requested, the referring URL, and the time of the request
  • Pages viewed, scroll depth, and time on page (for analytics)

Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar storage technologies for three purposes:

  • Strictly necessary: a small number of cookies are required for basic functionality, such as remembering whether a notice has been dismissed.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics sets cookies that allow us to understand which pages are read, how readers find them, and where the Site is failing them. These cookies do not identify you personally to us.
  • Advertising: Google AdSense and its advertising partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads. See the dedicated section below.

Our standalone Cookie Policy lists the cookie categories in detail and explains how to opt out.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage in aggregate. Google processes this data on our behalf as a data processor. The information collected includes events, page views, approximate location, device and browser metadata, and a randomized client identifier. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personally identifying details through analytics.

If you would prefer not to be measured, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, use a browser that blocks tracking by default, or use an extension that blocks analytics scripts.

Advertising and Google AdSense

The Site is supported by advertising. We participate in Google AdSense, a program operated by Google that places ads on third-party sites. As part of that program:

  • Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies — including the DoubleClick DART cookie — to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other sites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this and other websites on the internet.
  • Other third-party advertising vendors and ad networks may also use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies in the ads they serve on the Site, and may collect information about your visits across this and other sites in order to provide relevant ads.
  • We do not control, and are not responsible for, the practices of these third-party vendors. Their use of information is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by Google by visiting Google Ad Settings. You can opt out of personalized advertising from many participating vendors at aboutads.info/choices (US) or youronlinechoices.com (EU). For an overview of how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services, see Google's partner-sites policy.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate, secure, and maintain the Site
  • Respond to messages you send us
  • Understand which content is useful and which needs revision
  • Display advertising through Google AdSense and measure its performance
  • Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK readers)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR:

  • Legitimate interests: for analytics in the aggregate, security, and operating the Site.
  • Consent: for advertising cookies and any non-essential cookies, where consent is required by local law. You can withdraw consent at any time through your cookie controls or browser settings.
  • Legal obligation: when we must retain or disclose information to comply with the law.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Service providers that help us run the Site, such as our hosting provider and Google (Analytics and AdSense). These providers process data under contract and on our instructions.
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of readers, the public, or us.
  • Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case any transferred data remains subject to the commitments in this policy.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete information, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Restriction or objection: ask us to limit how we process your information, or object to certain processing.
  • Portability: receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent: withdraw any consent you have previously given, with effect for the future.
  • Lodge a complaint: with your local data protection authority.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it (subject to exceptions), the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@administrativeassistant.net. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

How to exercise your rights

Send a request to privacy@administrativeassistant.net describing what you are asking for. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We aim to respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically within 30 to 45 days).

Data Retention

We keep email correspondence for as long as is reasonably necessary to handle your inquiry and to keep a record of repeated requests, after which it is deleted. Aggregated analytics data is retained for the period configured in our analytics tooling. Server logs are retained for short, security-oriented windows and then rotated.

Security

The Site is served over HTTPS and we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Transfers

Our hosting and service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required by law, those transfers are made under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Children

The Site is intended for adult administrative professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Links

Pages on the Site may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no industry-wide standard for how to interpret it, the Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. You can manage tracking through cookie settings, browser privacy controls, and the opt-out links above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practices evolve or as the law changes. The "Last reviewed" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent material update. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
